Need your opinion: does it need a clutch?
'92 Spider, otherwise working well - has a clutch pedal that when you release to engage 1st gear (for example) only needs perhaps an inch of lifting before it engages the gear. There is no slippage or other signs of a problem. I asked the mechanic to check both pedal adjustment and pivot pin. He said neither seems to be a problem. His suggestion was to use the car (I've only had for 3 weeks) and see what happens by the end of the season. His only solution ( which he was not prepared to make at this time) would be a new clutch. Any thoughts about this?
