Trans And Diff Rebuild Kits??

Does anyone know of a supplier that sells "kits" that come with most of the common rebuild parts for transmissions or diff. asy? Or at least a parts supplier for the LSD clutches/shims and related parts. So far I have turned up little. I know you can get transmission parts from IAP. But everything is sold indiviually. I was just wondering if there was a comprehensive kit with all the synchros and seals, etc. for these.

The reason that nobody sells a "kit" is that every transmission rebuild is different. If you replaced all of the syncros, sliders, and bearings you would probably be looking at around $1,500 - $2,000 in parts alone. So, the best thing to do is open the tranny up and see what parts need to be replaced first, then order what you need.

Thanks Joe. As a Master Auto Tech I rebuild alot of transmissions, esp for the drag race crowd. You can buy a kit for the ford T5 and tremechs for around 150 to 250 that comes with most parts you need. So I was just wondering if anyone had anything like that with all the common wear items included. But I guess not

you might be the one to look in to this then. the dogs come off on the alfa. I was thinking if the syncros/dogs on a T5 can come off or if not if the gear could be cut so it could be used on the alfa.(cut down to the dogs) but you need to have both parts side by side to see if it could work.
I think it would not be much more work on a mill then we do to lighten the gears. I am thinking you could do one set at a time like 1st and 2nd as the selector ring and all the parts would have to come over. and somthing like the corvet tripple CF syncros would be soo cool.
