GTV6 Shift Linkage

So....

My brother, hmacris, posts here a bunch so figure i will join in the fun.

When taking apart the shift linkage of an 85 GTV6 to replace the clutch the shift rod would not come out of the rest of the linkage. I have done it before on other GTV6s but this one was rusted on after the pin was removed. So after heating and cooling it and smacking it and spraying it for days I started smacking it and broke one of the pieces. It is the tube with the fork and fits on the left side of the linkage. So i took the broken part to my brother and he made one at the machine shop at his school that was perfect...

I was making some bushings for the ends to take up the play and gave the piece to my father since I didn't want it rolling around my car while i was at work for the week so I gave it to him and drove my truck away. My father left it on the edge of the bed and now it is gone.

1. Does anyone have photos of the linkage (i know their are two styles)
2. Does anyone have any extra parts so we don't need to build another.
3. Are there any modifications that improve shifting.

Thanks

Dini
