V6 billet Flywheel

I have tried a search buy to no avail.
Does anyone know if there are available any aftermarket Flyweels to fit the V6 engines. Specifically one that is for a 7.25" Tilton Clutch.
This will be for my 3.2 V6 Turbo project engine that will be going in my Stratos replica.

Cheers

Neil

I am not sure about the clutch, I would have to check, but there are at least three sources for alloy V6 flywheels. Andy at Performatek has one. It's nice and has offset weights so it will be pretty easy to balance your engine with it. I have one, it's $450 (a lot less than the Performatek unit) but it has no offset weight. I am pretty Sure Richard J. has a light weight flywheel and or clutch set up for the V6. I am sure it's top notch.

I have had good luck with Performatek's clutch disks.

Thanks for the info, I am most intrested in having a flywheel to take a tilton or ap 7-1/2" clutch as I am going the turbo route on a 3.2 V6 and aiming for 500BHP - I am assuming that the torque will be around 450lb/ft, but it could easily be more & thats a lot to hold with a single plate clutch.

Oh, I somehow missed the part about this being a Stratos, that means a 164 type flywheel. The alloy flywheels I am talking about are for the GTV6/Milano type cars so the clutch doesn't bolt to them anyway. Now that I think about it, I don't know of any alloy flywheels for your application.

Hi Greg,

I probably didnt put enough detail in my post. As it happens I have by chance found someone over here in the UK to make me a billet steel flywheel either for the standard clutch or for a race clutch TTV Racing Components. This will be lighter than stock and he can copy the imbalance weight. Also I think a good price (max £220 + vat & Shipping)

Hi Neil,

That sounds great, although I would still suggest contacting Richard. He may have a proven product already sitting on his shelf. This operation is more tricky that you might think. I have seen a couple bad alloy flywheels for our engines. One where the ring gear wasn't properly secured, and another where the mounting studs for the Guibo were slightly off!

Hi Greg,

Richard has nothing off the shelf, So i will go with TTV Racing, they are experienced in making billet steel flywheels.
The flywheel is from Quote""Hardened and tempered chrome moly steel to a very high spec""unquote.
The ring gear is cut in the flywheel & they will make them for what ever clutch I like.

Do you have pictures of your Stratos Replica? Do you have a thread on it, or a site where you are documenting it? I love the car and have dreamed of doing one. I'd love to see the project details.

Thanks,
