rear trans seal

I'd like to change my rear trans seal . The front seal is pretty straight forward, but the rear has the shifter tower. I haven't even taken the drive shaft off yet. I'm just trying to avoid any surprises.

Not bad if you have the seal and the wrench to remove the nut on the output spider. There's a lockwasher in there underneath the nut. Be sure not to nick the new seal with the speedo drive gear.

Looks like I don't have to remove the back cover, and the seal is pressed in from the back. Right?
