Anyone know where the plate fits? Can't be that hard to make a template and get one laser-cut.
The plate goes as shown below.
To compensate for the thickness of the plate the end cover/casing is reduced in height by the thickness of the plate..... time to buy a milling machine.

Chris,
Just seen one on ebay for £110 as per photo - advertised for the Integrale, but I am sure it is the same as auto integrale sell, which should fit.

As you likely know, I have retrofitted my US-spec 164 LS (Super) with a 156 GTA 6-speed and it has been taking some punishment very well. I don't abuse it, but I am running 300-plus horses through it from a Glenwood Motors 3.45 litre 24 valve with over 300 horses at the crank and LOTS of torque (sampled often)!

I HAVE heard Dawie say however, that the 5-speed 164 box is stronger that the GTA box (and as such - he ran the 156 GTA race car back home with a 3.7 litre build on the 164 box for the last few years of ownership)! In fact, it may still have that box in it today...!

They do seem to be pretty tough JJ, which is why I reckon I'll try my luck with my project, but Neil is going to be really pushing the limits I think. The other 'problem' we have in our Strat reps is superb traction - they really dig in, so we get no relief from FWD wheel spin. Lots of guys seem to snap the driveshafts in these things, which is another area we've been talking about.
