Help! Alternative RHD Steering fo 105?

I'm having a big problem with my Giulia Racer since last week end it spun out into gravel and broke apart it's steering box with all it's contents spilled in the gravel. Currently the only source of bulky spare parts for old A-R in Indonesia is from the odd chances of finding it in the junkyards, and now it has become very scarce.
Sometime ago I have converted my Berlina to power assisted steering sourced from Toyota Crown, and other friends used old Suzuki Vitara steering boxes for their Giulias. The problem is I have to turn the wheel much more compared to the original set up, and it is definitely a drawback if I am using it in the race track.
I have read threads about converting 105 steering system using Rack & Pinion unit with pros and cons about it, but it seemed to me still the most likely alternative I have here.
I may still have a chance to get hold of the very last original 105 steering box available here, but, I am a bit concerned about it's strength (or metal fatigue) after so many years of use and this is the THIRD time I have experienced steering box breakage in my A-R fleet.....
Please someone advise me where to go as the next race will be in thr 3rd week of August.
