Question Rare Cromodaora Wheels

I have these unusual Cromodora wheels on my '69 1750 GTV (see attached jpg). I am wondering if anyone can tell me anything about these wheels. I think they are magnesium, but am not sure.

Regards,

Garrett

Yes, they are magnesium. They're designed by Fagot (the outfit that designed the steel wheel) and are very light, about 9lbs. Don't use on the track, they crack around the hub.

Chris,

I think it's "Fergat" and not "Fagot".

That's great! I would be afraid to tell anyone about my wheels.

FWIW, in addition to Fergat, Firsat and C.M.R. also supplied steel wheels for the 105s.

Why is the Fergat wheel badged as Cromodora? Were the other wheel manufacturers badged as Cromos also?

Both sets of steel wheels I own, one Fergat and one Firsat, do not have the manufacturers name stamped on the outside of the wheel. Instead their name and manufacture date are stamped inside the rim, which is then covered up by the tire.

Garrett,

Perhaps your wheels just have the incorrect center caps? Or is Cromodora stamped elsewhere on the wheel?

This is the set of steel Firsat wheels previously mentioned. They did not come with center caps.
