Question nuts size?

Hello.

I need an unusual information about an Alfa Spider.

I am dismantling the suspension and I want to use new bolts.

Is there anybody who knows which is the nominal diameter (size) an pitch (I suppose that it is a fine thread pitch) for the nuts marked in red? (upper wishbone to the body an to the control arm).

These are the only ones in the car and I am not close to it.

Thanks in advance

#1 is a 10X1X50
#16 is a 10X1
#12 is 16X1.5X74
#15 is a 16X1.5

Numbers 1 and 12 are special bolts that are not threaded all the way. Either reuse the old ones or order replacements from Alfa. You may be able to source #1, but #12 will be difficult.

Thanks a lot.

#12 is 12X1.5X74 I assume that is 16x1.5x74

Bolts are very difficult to get. I was thinking in reuse bolts and use new "nylon nuts" (I donīt know the name "autoblocantes in spanish", nuts with a nylon insert) in the required grade.

Also, the nuts are not usual. This pitch is fine and the normal is the coarse thread.

Carlos,

These are called "locknuts", or if you want to be more descriptive you could say "nylon insert locknuts".

Saludos,
Enrique

Yes, I am sorry for the typo. I corrected it.

Replacing the nuts is a good idea. That is what I did.
