Brake lights staying on.

The brake lights on my 69 GTV keep getting stuck on. The last time it happened, it killed the battery. I replaced one of the switches, but it appears that the other is leaking. Do the tail lights stick on when there is air in the system?

thanks,
Will

I'd think that air in the system would have nothing to do with it.
If you disconnect the wires from the newer switch, do the brake lights go out?

They go out if I disconnect the old switch., I didn't try unplugging the new one. They still seem to work with just the new one so I will just run one.

Yep, looks like the old switch went as well. I'd replace a old switch anyway; any leaks in the brake hydraulic system need to be repaired.
What is the condition of the brakefluid?

The brake system has had about a gallon of brake fluid run through it (I'm not kidding.) Everytime I get it "fixed" I end up finding another leak, I think I will have everything sealed later this evening.

I seem to remember having the same problem with my Giulia - pushing keeps you fit...!! If I recall correctly, it was a dodgy earth causing the trouble...

I replaced the switch, it started leaking. Since my brake system is modified (only one booster with a single circut) I don't need both switches.
