AVO shocks any good?

Hello,

It seems I will have to replace the rear Bilsteins on my GTV6 -87, and I´m looking around for options. New Bilsteins are of course possible, but someone also suggested that AVO shocks would be good. Does anyone have any experience with these?
Here´s a link:http://www.avouk.com/pm/89

The car is currently set up with 105-series castor ball joints, 30 mm torsion bars, Bilsteins and MT stage-1 (40 mm, fast road) rear springs.

The goal is to have a well handling street car.

Comfort is not an issue, performance and price are.

What do you think?

Albert

Shocks

I just completed a total suspension rebuild (stock springs) on my 74 spider which included a new set of KYBs (couldn't say no to the price and the fact that the salesperson recommended not spending the extra dollars on the konis. I haven't test driven yet due to the snow on the ground, but the KYBs seem mighty stiff when given the bounce test. Anyone have any experience with the KYBs?

Rebuilt front suspension and replaced all the factory original shocks with new KYB's all around 3 years ago. Very pleased with the ride they give on the back country roads where I put on most of the miles. I've hit some nasty railroad tracks without bottoming out but not too stiff so that the wife and I can still spend hours riding without discomfort.

Best Regards,
Paul

Put 4 KYB's on '85 Graduate last year, very nice. Be forewarned that for me the first 15 miles on them was very dissappointing, they felt like junk. But the next day they had self-adjusted or whatever and were, for me, perfect.
