taller front bump stops ??

Alright !!

i finally got my rebuilt/refinished front suspension together on my 73 GTV

i now have knuckle-risers installed to help roll-center & camber-gain.

without foreseeing all the issues beforehand, i now realize that my top (extension) bump stop is too short with the raised upper arm.
i really don't want to use the shocks as the rebound limiter or run into steering binding issues.

does anyone know of taller bump stops or extensions that are available that i can use

sadly, i no longer have personal access to a shop, so i cannot fab spacers myself

Have never seen any bumpstop extenders for sale in the aftermarket, though somebody is bound to make them. Furiani in Germany sells knuckle risers and does a lot of special parts, albeit pricey, and may be able to supply them. The original ones were sheetmetal w/ little straps. You can easily get a machine shop to make some out of a piece of aluminum - one large hole with a ridge at the end to hold the rubber bumpstop and two small holes, again with a ridge to retain the screw heads to bolt onto the chassis.

thanks for the suggestions.

after a tip from Max Banks, i found generic urethane race bump stops made by Energy Suspension and sold through Summit Racing. one style was perfect : 2" square base and 2" tall, which was EXACTLY the height i needed ! and they came with a threaded mounting post molded in. the bump stops only cost $11, but summit charged another $10 for shipping.

i received them a week ago, and just installed them today. i power sanded down the top surface to get the correct angle to match the upper arm, used an o-ring to fill in the space between the stud and the original hole, and they bolted in perfectly !

if i had a digital camera, instead of my trick old SLR, i could post pictures right away.
