Question Cromodoras

Are the reproduction aluminum alloy Cromodora CD35 wheels as good as the older magnesium ones from the early 70's?

without first hand experience, i would say that the new aluminum castings are not as light as the magnesium, but will be more corrosion resistant. from what i've seen, they look the same . . .

That about sums it up. The new Cromodoras are about 3 lbs heavier per wheel, but have a modern finish that should hold up great. The aluminum is also easier to have repaired if anything nasty should happen.

They're great looking rims and when you look around and see how much alloy rims can cost, they're priced well.

FWIW, I think they are the best looking wheel for the 2000 GTV's

Quanto costa? How much? Where do you live? Are they new or originals for 116 or 105 series cars?

i would like $800 for the set and it comes with center caps and tires. i can have the tires taken out for $25 to save you on shipping charges. i'm in northern california. shipping within the continental u.s. is around $50 without the tires and $70 with the tires.
yes, they are original and NOT remakes! they are for early gtvs, duettos, spiders, berlinas and supers??? 4x108 offset 22 just like what the picture shows (same center caps) that "lowmileage" has posted.

How soon do you want to sell them? I'm very interested but I am about to buy a duetto, which they'd be going on.
What's your time frame?
Thanks, Clark

Do they have any dings, dents or scrapes? Anything I should be aware of? A few age related issues like faded color and scratches is fine. I'm assuming they are the silver color. I was CRUSHED a few years ago when I found an Alfetta in a Mercedes junk yard in Atlanta that has a set of these in anodized gold. I told the guy I wanted them. $200 he said!
I came back a month later and the car had been crushed!!!! I was sick! I have an ex-wife to blame for them going to the crusher! "You don't need those rims!" grrrrr.... On the good side, 15 years ago with my first Italian car, a FIAT 131, I was looking for a replacement fuse box and came across a set of Abarth Cromodora 4 spoke rims on a junked X 1/9 with a busted timing belt and bent valves. These old black guys who ran the junk yard had no idea what they were, nor their worth. $75 for 4! CASH right then and there!

So, are you wanting to move them out right now?
I can't buy them right now, but I can give you some $ down on them.
Thanks,
Clark
