AutoX Wheels and Tires

Hey all,

Just got my new SSR GT2 wheels and Kumho Ecsta MX rubber onto the GTV6!! Fantastic!

The wheels are 17x7.5 and weigh 14.6lbs.

I bought the wheels from Tirerack and they were originally 5x100 with a 50mm offset. Charlie DiMarco took care of me though. I sent the rims to him and he had the pattern redrilled (to 5x98) and steel rings inserted into the new holes. He then had the centerbore widened and made me some nice spacers to fill the delta between the alfa offset and the +50mm. That work, plus the extended thread lug nuts, allowed everything to simply bolt right up!!

I think it looks outstanding!

Thumbs up SSR rocks and so does Charle DiMarco

I used the same wheels on my E30 M3 for trackdays. They are so amazingly light compared to factory alloy wheels.

Charlie is an awesome guy. I run his Serpant Autosport Autosport Type III wheels on my spider and he has always been very helpful.

Those GT2's look outstanding and offer a great functional improvement too. Gotta love it!

True statements, all!

I was seriously considering a set of the Autosport Type IIIs. I went with the SSRs as my main focus was getting ready to SCCA the car, and I wanted the lightness.

Charlie was completely awesome during the entire purchase/setup. I think we must have exchanged 50 emails and had a dozen different plans or ideas during the whole process. He was a rock.

As a side note the E30 M3 is one of my favorite cars. I love the angular lines. How track-prepared is yours? and where do you run her?

I'd love to see a pic or two if you've got some (especially with the SSRs )
