Sprint brake set-up

Can anyone tell me about this braking set-up? It's a Giulietta Sprint, I believe. Was it a twin-circuit modification for racing?

Is the second photo an original single carb engine compartment? Is the MC under the floor?

Hi Mike

Yes - the twin cyclinder is a racing mod.

Yes, the single carb set up in the blue car is for a Giulia Sprint, Alfa never made these in twin carb Veloce guise, only the 1600 Spiders had a Veloce variant.

No the master cylinder is not under the floor, it's actually directly in front of the floor mounted pedal box, it sits alongside the LHS rear corner of the motor at about crank level. You can see it throught the LHS wheel arch on a Giulietta or 101 Giulia. The brake fluid tin on the fire wall of the blue car is directly above the M/C on the car. No booster required.
