How to tell if you have more braking power in the rear?

I've been noticing a heavier amount of brake dust on my rear wheels. Also noticed it on a GTV at the track.

Could this mean more stopping power in the rear? How do you know when you have more stopping power in the rear? I've seen race cars equipped with brake adjuster knobs, which shut off front or rear brake power. What kind of advantages can you get out of this?

Possible.

Anyone know the advantage to have the bias vavle for break systems. I don't want it on my car, but I'm just curious to know.

I think one of the biggest advantages is to compensate for more weight transfer. When you put big R-compounds on the car you get way more weight transferred to the front during hard braking. Because of this you will lock the rear wheels easier which is less than ideal.

Snaidy,

Your car should already have a brake bias valve, just not an adjustable one.

its located under the car where the right side rear passenger would be sitting. check if it is there.
