Unfortunatly, the parts book has a breakdown of only the valve section on the bottom, not the booster. If you can wait til the weekend, I could disassemble a spare booster I have and post some pics. Would that do?

Did a little digging and came up with a parts breakdown of the entire booster. If you PM your email address or fax #, I'll get it over to you.

I just realized that you have a Duetto Jr. Pretty rare car! Fellow BB member Alex C. also has one and is quite knowledgable about it. I don't believe the cardisc cds cover the Jr. models. However, the 1600 and/or the 1750 cds may be very helpful. If you're a member of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club , owners, parts and service manuals are available.

The 1300 Spider parts manual will be totally useless. It has only verbage (text and no diagrams). The 1750 parts manuals have much better breakdowns of the components than the 1600. Get the CD as it's fairly inexpensive and a great resource.

Hi there, fellow 1300 Junior owner! I have one. The brake booster is actually a very common part shared with many of the early ATE brake equipped cars. It is available from some f the parts vendors which can be found in the resources section at www.alfacentro.com.

By the way, Jim (Papajam) is a really knowledgeable and helpful Alfa mechanic, as are several others on here. Welcome to the BB!

I actually had the same problem and have a spare booster, which I will install eventually. For now, what I did was to unplug the booster and run with unassisted brakes. They work just fine! And it actually seems to give me better pedal feel. I wouldn't do that in a 'hanging-pedal' car, but in the Junior, it works great!

So are you restoring yours? Where are you located? Do you have a Canadian model (with gauges in English and with MPH on the speedo), or do you have a Euro-version?

I'll attach some pics of mine in another post.

Cheers,
