goodyear eagle hp's

it's time to replace the tires on my 78 spider i found a deal on 4 goodyear eagle hp's 195/65r/14's will they fit the weel wells or will they rub? are eagle hp's good for every day driving?
dont know much about tires any help would be great

I believe you can go with a size as large as 205/60/14 on the stock 14" rims. Check with www.tirerack.com, I have purchased my last several sets there and got good prices and great product. They have a section or two explaining tire sizes and tread, etc. You may want to consider a tire with a tread rating of under 220, so they grip a bit better. Yokahama AVS or Pirellis have worked for me.

thanks jpk i went to tirerack.com and the goodyear hp's came up under their list of tires for my spider and at $25 a piece i cant pass them up

$25 per tire is a great deal! Last set I bought for my spider were Yokahama AVS intermediates 195/60-15 for about $45 each on clearance at tirerack.
