Wheel Refinisher (Southern Cal)

The original owner of my Duetto had installed American Racing Wheel mag wheels of early 70s vintage. It's in good condition, but could use refinishing. Any recommendations on good refinishers in the L.A. area? TIA

Thanks. I'll give them a try.

What exactly do you mean by "refinishing"? Painting, powder coating or polishing?

I'd like to know what y'all recommend for refinishing a set of Alfa steel rims. Painting or powder coating? My rims have the hub caps that snap on, so it would have to be a really sturdy finish.

wheel refinishing

For steel wheels powder coating is the most durable but it is quite difficult to get the exact shade of silver. Also it is very important to either s.blast the wheels yourself or make sure they are done nicely and not with a really aggresive and coarse media that does not leave a smooth finish and/or grit trapped between the center and rim. Also make sure the wheels are straight and true and if needed file-out any nicks in the rim do not count on powder-coaters or painters to do this. You can also have a coat of clear on top for extra $ and durability. Of course most good body shops can also paint wheels usually it does cost a little more. Fred.
