Polishing phone dials question

The wheels on my '87 Quad are pretty fugly, scuffs and such. I was thinking about getting them polished. I saw pictures of someone's on here polished and Im sold on it. Does anyone know if they are anodized, painted, clear-coated, etc? The shop wants to know before they give me a price. Also do they contain Magnesium?

I took the cheap & easy way. #000 steel wool and 2 cans of Krylon Chrome Aluminum spray paint. From ten feet, they look new.

Its $25-30 near my house each. Polishing is around $50 each. Remind me not to get any work done in NY! They say its a nice place to visit though...

i found a place in the bronx that repaired a bent rim on my saab.

that cost me $80 but it was painted and not powder coated.
