Need help with wheels for a 164LS

Hello,

My name is Giuseppe and I recently found this forum after doing an online search trying to help my father with a problem he's having with his '95 LS. He is in desperate need of new wheels and it turns out that the Alfa's run a not so popular lug pattern and offset that is next to impossible to find at any local tire dealers. He nor I am to computer savy and can't seem to find any wheels to replace his and was told that maybe we could run wobble bolts (?) and a different lug pattern.

Can anyone help who has had first hand experience with doing this and could explain to me what exactly I need to find for him. With being able to change the lug pattern it will open up a lot more choices from styles and price points then the VERY few sets I found from specialty Alfa online shops. He doesn't have a huge budget for wheels and can't justify having to spend what they are asking and really doesn't like the offerings regardless... so if there is an option be it wobble bolts or adapters that will actually work and not have any ill affects that would be GREAT!

The only issue I can see would be if the wheels aren't hub centric you run the risk of vibrations and shearing of the studs possibly and I would hate that to happen to my father so if someone could find it there heart to help us out I would be great appreciative... Please give me suggestions as to rim size, offsets, lug patterns, widths ect.... if you wouldn't mind.

Kind Regards,
Giuseppe

Dunno specifically what you're trying to accomplish, but have you seen this list?

Which gives several bolt patterns, weights, widths and fitments.
If you read the whole thread it came from, there's a few odd pix and a bit of discussion about who got what to fit where and how.

If you're talking the difference in bolt pattern being 4x108 vs 4 4 1/4, then no worries as they are close enough to be practically the same size.

Its that 5x98 and such that'll likely create the bigger headaches.

Barring any of that being of use, you might also want to ask the same up in the 164&168 '91~'95 dedicated subsection of the forum where folks more familiar with your specific vehicle could possibly lend a better hand.
