Alfetta Lower Control Arm (A Arm) Bushes

I have just removed the lower front control arms from my GTV6 to replace the bushes. I know you press them out but not quite sure how. The pivot shaft looks to be retained between the bushes. Do you press the bushes out first to remove the pivot shaft or do you push on the end of the pivot shaft to push out one bush?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Fylnn,
Did you ever figure out how to remove the bushs?
I just removed 1 arm and can't figure it out.
My Alfa tech manual shows some Alfa Tool that seems to pull the bush out.

Yes I did get them changed over. Pretty easy once you see how. Basically unscrew the end cap off. Clean all the grease out, and then remove the nuts from each side of the big pivot. Then carefully drive each bush out with a small headed punch. Once they move they go pretty easy.

to reinstall I had to make up some mandrels to puch them back in using a press.

If I could work out how to send you a private message to get your email address I can send you some helpful stuff that Andy Kress from Performatek sent to me.

Thanks for the info.
I figured it out after a beer(s) and a few minutes of figuring out how the Alfa tools worked (in that order). Tool pictures are from the Alfetta and the Milano repair manuals.
I used my 2 arm gear puller to drive them out.
But I will take the info from Performatek. I pretty much have their stuff on the Alfetta.
