Wheel Repair Question

I have 2 sets of 16X7.5 alloy wheels (OZ and Borbet) that I can't seem to get right, even with high quality tires.
Has anyone used any of the wheel repair services offered to get wheels straightened/trued?.
I would appreciate real experiences as opposed to anecdotes.
They need to be right at any speed.

I've used a wheel repair service two times. Both were on aluminum wheels that had been bent and needed straightening. One was an aluminum wheel off a BMW 3 series that had been turned into a curb putting a deep enough dent to make it unable to seat the tire. I believe it was a factory rim but don't quote me on that. The second was a Lexus factory rim that some how, some way my girlfriend had managed to put a similar size dent on the INSIDE edge of the rim on a back wheel. In each case the rim was straightened, curb rash dressed and resprayed with clear. I could not locate the repair and the rims worked just fine afterward. In all, I was quite pleased with the service.

That sounds encouraging! There is an outfit called Wheel Connection in Oklahoma City (I'm near Ft. Smith, Arkansas-about 2 1/2 hours away) that I have contacted. The lady I talked to said they could check each wheel and repair as needed, all in the same day if I get them there early. I told her I wasn't concerned with cosmetics as I can do that part myself. Based on your experience, I think I'll give them a shot.

Looking at their website they appear very similar to the place I used. I did bring the Lexus wheel to them in the morning before work and it was ready by the time I went home. I believe I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $120. Again, this was 12 years ago. I've noticed wheel repair places in most towns I've lived in and body shops seem to use them. It's worth a try if the rim is not acceptable now.
