Smile Replacing Master Brake Cylinder on 1982 Spider Veloce

Ciao tutti,

My master brake cylinder is slowly giving way to age.

I am going to order a replacement part from International Auto Parts.
and would like to do the repair work myself, if possible. First of all, cause I would love to learn how to do the work, and saving some money also doesnt hurt.

I was wondering, whether some of you have experience with replacing the master brake cylinder. Is it a difficult repair that should only be handled by an experienced mechanic, or is it a fairly easy process that can be executed by someone with only limited experience, like myself? Of course, I am aware that proper operation of the brakes is a rather crucial issue.

Thankful for any suggestions.

Share the passion!

A dopo,
Chris
