fluid inside brake servo assist??

I have taken the brake master cylinder off of the servo assist unit and noticed fluid in the bottom of the servo case. Should this be there? I think not? The brakes function properly and I am not losing brake fluid from the reservoir so I am at a loss as to why about 3 oz of fluid is in the bottom of the case. Should I remove the fluid? This is on a '71 spider 1750.

No, the fluid in the servo should not be there. It can be removed using a turkey baster or similar.
The source of the fluid in the servo is (or was) a leaking rear seal in the brake master cylinder.
