What Kinda Wheels Does Your Alfa Have?

Australian car. ROH brand rims fitted by PO.

Recently discovered thin wheel spacers are fitted to front wheels at least, which I'm certain are illegal in Oz. Butcher also ground a few threads off the stub axles, but I can't see why as the wheels have loads of clearance. I suspect previous wheels (off a Ford) may have been the culprit.

Hi guys!
I'm an italian GT-Junior owner. I post here 'cause you're talking about wheels.

I'm looking for the wheels shown in the picture. They seems to be original, but in Italy they're not available. In Germany a lot of 105 have these steel rims.

Could you please help to find them?

Those wheels look like standard issue as fitted to the 2l GTVs (US version anyway). You might try Hurtienne in Germany.

I think this is standard for export versions. In Italy it's' impossible to find them 'cause our law is an enemy for any modification.

Model 105 is standard with 165 R 14x4 wheels and there's no way to change them.

On Hurtienne site I saw a 5.5x14 version, but those I posted seem to be wider.

Maybe 6.5???

The stock 14" steel wheel is 5.5" wide (the 15" is 4.5" wide ) The wheel in the pic is from a 1750. Note the nubs at the arrows. These are for the wheelcovers that are on the left in the second pic. The wheels you are looking for will not have these nubs (2l cars in the US but probably on models of all engine sizes in the EU) and take the wheelcovers that are on the right.

5.5 is standard for export vehicles, but not Italy where we have really (and ridicolous) tyres.

If you save my picture above and try to enlarge it, you will notice a curious thing.
The valve hole is in a different position and the rims have.... (well how can I say?) more "waves" around.

You are really lucky! In US and Germany tires are really wider

Maybe a german member knows where they get this kind of wheels. I noticed them for the first time at the "Mille Miglia"; a support car was a 2000 GTV with these huge wheels.

Didn't know such things existed on production cars (US cars anyway). Those wheels look definately wider. Alfaholics in the UK has a 14 x 6 wheel listed here that might work. There's also a 14 x 7 wheel but it looks slightly different.

Does anyone recognize what these wheels are? They were on my ’72 Montreal when I bought it in ’79. The car was shipped from Italy with these wheels and only the spare was the original. They are a tube type two(three?)-piece wheel with the only marking looking like a lower case 'e' on the center cap.

To me, those simply look like widened steel rims. I don't think yours were born that way.

I had a set of widened Borrani wheels once on my '67 GTV, looked very similar. Borrani steels are stronger than Fergats.

Boa, my widened wheels are long sold. They were also cracked around the lug nut holes, rare for a Borrani I suppose, but I just got (un)lucky.

These wheels were put on my '74 Spider by the PO. They're Campagnolos, size is 6.5x14. I've got a set of Yokohama AVS' on em now.
