Thanks and they were only $99 ea (new) at Tire Rack but I haven't seen them advertised for quite a while. The mid eighty's Ford wheels had the same bolt pattern as our Alfa's. I needed to use 5 mm spacers to get them to the right offset.

Speaking of Ford wheels:

On my '74 GTV, 15x7" wheels off a Ford Mustang. About 20mm offset, and they fit just right, even with significantly lowered ride height. They weigh about 15.5 lbs each.

Thanks, DB, for the compliments.

I like the wheels since they've got a bit of a period Campagnolo or Abarth look, but about 1/50th the cost.

The stance was inspired largely by pics of Max Bank's Alfaholics GTA replica. I can't afford the Alfaholics kit, so I fabricated my own adjustable coil-over spring mounts front and rear. For a while I was using cut stock springs in front and Honda Accord springs in the rear for a similar look, but too soft. The ride height is about 6" all around (measured from the bottom of each jacking point to the ground), which, interestingly, gives the car a tail-down look.

The turn signals are actually late '80s Audi 5000! They are similar to the American market lights, but smaller and, by luck, curved to match the bumper line. Plus, they're a dime a dozen at my local salvage yards.

The seats are OEM units out of a BMW 325is coupe. I liked that they match the light-brown Alfa interior, and they flip up and forward for access to the back seat. But they were a huge pain to mount, requiring much cutting and welding. The passenger seat will sit too far outboard unless you make a-symetric mounts and notch the driveshaft tunnel. And they sit a bit too tall; I could lower them if I removed the sliding mechanism.

I'll figure out a place to post more pics without hijacking the wheel thread.

This car was given to me as a rusted-out basket case, headed for the scrap yard... so I don't feel too bad about messing up a pristine classic. Gives a bit of creative leeway!

George

My 1969 spider has those Ronals too. I think the coolest thing about them is the "made in west germany" stamp.

What wheels are these

Do anyone know what size and what wheels are these exactly? They fit nicely to 105.

Ah, thanks for noticing.
It's an old rally car trick, for when you spin out on a dark back-road, and actually need to see where you're going as you reverse out of the ditch.

But I mainly put it there to cover up the big dent in the rear panel after the car got rear-ended by a PG&E truck!
