When I joined the AlfaBB, the whole point seemed to be that it didn't matter who you were, where you live, or what car(s) you have.
Im convinced that the usefulness of personal information is the exception, not the rule.
Those who have a problem with as specific car learn soon from the posts if somebody else has the same model and encountered the same problem. Those who want to make deals can ask questions as part of the buyer-seller negotiation.
Neither case should force the majority to reveal information if they don't want to.
