Electronics

Perhaps I'm not using the word electronics correctly, but to me it includes such items as installing equipment such as CD changers, iPod connections, separate amps for older radios, etc.

Perhaps it should be titled: Audio systems.

And in my case this means installing these items so that they 'look right', especially in the (much) older Alfas.

I did join a car radio/electronics forum but found their main concern was how to get the most (loudest) sound out of their car audio systems.

I don't think we want to change the title of the existing forum. First, we don't have an "Electronics" forum, but rather an "Electrical" forum. (There is a huge difference.) Second, "Audio Systems" is but one range of topics of what could be covered in an "Electrical" forum. For example, if we were to change the title to "Audio Systems", and a person is looking for an "Electrical Diagram" to troubleshoot a problem with his/her car's headlights, I doubt they would realize that there is a sticky of Electrical Diagrams in the forum...

Enrique, just where did you read above that I suggested changing the Electrical forum to Electronics? I feel it is obvious I was suggesting a New forum.

My feeling is if someone is having an electrical problems with their Alfa, they sure don't want to have to wade through numerous topics on installing a CD changer in say their '69 Spider.

Conversely, if someone is planning on adding electronic items, they're looking for those who have done this before. They're not looking to 'fix' anything.

I agree, there is a big difference, thefore that is why I suggested an Electronics - or (not both) - Audio Systems forum.

Sorry for misinterpreting your suggestion... (Obviously, to me, your suggestion for a new forum was not apparent anywhere in your post.) I don't have any issue with a new forum for Audio Systems...
