Bigger "Next Page" arrow

I've been thinking recently that a bigger "Next Page" arrow would be nice.

When browsing though long threads, zeroing in on that little arrow is sometimes difficult, and that arrow is usually the main button people use. It would seem right for it to be easier to get to.

Here is a copy of what I'm talking about. At the top and bottom of each multi-page thread has the following:

Page 1 of 10 1 2 3 4 5 > Last »

Some search engines actually have the word "Next" which would be nice and big. It could look something like:

Page 1 of 10 1 2 3 4 5 |Next| Last »

Wouldn't that be nice?

Stefano, it is actually determined by your computer's web settings. If you increase your view text size, the arrows should appear larger.

Changing the web settings under the view menu is a poor substitute for web design, with all due respect. Increasing font size decreases the amount of information visible within the screen area, making for much more clicking and scrolling.

Whether the bb can be modified from the out of the box software (see the very bottom of each page to see the software and version used -currently vBulletin® Version 3.6.8) remains unknown to me. Still, a great idea to improve basic navigation.

One would think that if one is having trouble finding the arrow, then they are probably having trouble reading the text at the size it currently is

Let me add that my tracking device is the IBM eraser tip/nipple thing found on the keyboard between the GHB keys on the Think Pad. Accuracy in mousing is not it's strength. The font size is fine. It's just clicking on a small ">" thing is not that easy.

Another laptop I use has the mouse pad. It's better, but still. I'm sure a full-on mouse would be the easiest, so many users probably don't notice.

But, since many BBs have larger "Next" arrows, I think this would be and easy upgrade. I've dabbled in web pages before, and this BB seems to be a couple of templates(forms), so it would be a minor change to the form.

I don't think the upgrade would bother any user. Am I wrong?

Or - as I suggested in my original message - changine the ">" to the word "Next" would be fairly easy and would increase the area to zero-in on by a factor of 4. This is what I've seen on other BBs.

[the thinkpad is an older one, PIII, I think. got if for free, so can't complain]

Sean: I did not intend to take a crack at the person involved in the BB who may have designed the page details. I think my post probably read with this intent. Sorry about that.

As iachella points out, the problem for him is one of navigation (hitting the target quickly and accurately) rather than an inability to see the target.
