I don't think it would have much effect. I think it is a good idea to remind us to use ebay or craigslist in the title when posting such a listing though.

Hey Bill,
I didn't take it personally, but his post was just...selfish. Like, "this is what I care about and screw everyone else..." This is not what this bb is all about. We are here to help each other, and for the most part, that is what goes on. I consider many members on this bb friends and anything I can do to help people, I will. That is why I started this poll. It looks to be pretty even, so we'll see what the ultimate goal is.
I'd still like to here from 73veloce, AlfaTaso, and Carpoor. Come on guys, we need your opinions!!

Sean, you're digging yourself deeper and deeper into a hole with your contradictions. You wanted opinions. You got one from me and you didn't like it. Tough luck. What you accuse me of I can map right back onto you: "this is what I care about and screw everyone else...".

Hey buddy, I'm not the one digging. I honestly could care less about your opinion BECAUSE it wasn't constructive. I don't know how or what you can "map" on me, but to be honest, I don't care buddy.
The reason I made this a public poll is so people could input their suggestions. I don't see how more selfish your response could have been. All I have been asking throughout this thread is for people to speak up.
Anyways, let's agree to not go any further with the you-and-me back and forth BS. It's not worth your energy, nor is it worth mine. Let's get back on topic. Thanks.

A couple thoughts...
Random posting prevention (RPP) is in the hands of all of us members. I initially voted yes to the poll but now see that an additional topic would only create more random postings. The administration overhead is too great as it is. Let's keep it simple. How about listing cars on eBay in the "Cars for Sale" section but instead of 'WTB:' or 'FS:' in the title, we put 'eBay:'? And as before, just list the item number with no link. Alfa parts would follow logically in the "Parts for Sale" section...
The second point is that I think it is imperative that we vocalize such cars and parts for sale in an effort to keep people honest about what they are selling. It will do more for the marque than anything else.

I did not want to post on this subject but I will offer a point of view!
I say no. I really rather not see evilbay on this website personally.
I think that it may give the impression that it would organize the classifieds section better, but I have a feeling it would clutter it even more. Not only that I think it would add to more SPAMMERS! 1 time posters, you know!
If people want e-bay for alfa let them go to e-bay and do their searches there. Why advertise so everyone can see the products? A sellers point of view maybe the opposite but the buyer would rather have less competition. It would add more work for the moderators for sure.
I think we would get double triple posted in that section, for sale section and specific car section too.
I also think that if e-bay where on this site that the BB should get some funds for every click to e-bay, since for the time being this site is free and e-bay is not. You get where I am going with this?
It was a good thought and I am sure we all appreciate the effort to make the bb efficient but on this topic I would have to say na unless I am totally missing something.
Just some thoughts!
Ciao!
PS. One point I forgot to add, I think we already have e-bayers add a link to the auction most of the time in the sale section or specific section anyway.
I also think the search tools is very usefull!

Hmm, well, as a buyer, I'd rather have sellers compete, but I'm not sure what you mean...
What about an off-site section like Enrique suggested? I think that would be a great idea. Why give eBay all this credit...
