Boxer engined ALFA section

Not that I own one but we don't seem to have a section for Sud/Sprint and 33 Alfas. Have I not seen it or do we not need one ?

Thanks,

Phil

I may only own two ALFAs now, but the handle stays as I am always chasing another one.

I think we need one. But, since the boxer engined Alfas never made it to the USA, there is little interest in them here. It is a great engine and I've always like the 33.

I didn't know that. I went out in the 1750 last night to get fuel and amy usual gas station there was a bloke filling up with a Red Sud/Sprint Green Cloverleaf. Talked alfa for quite a while. he bought this as a wreck and rebuilt it. Good to see, you almost never see them on the roads these days, let alone Suds.

I think a boxer section would be a great idea...

I've got an '82 Sud ti in the garage which is slowly turning itself into a racing car for our local AROC Trofeo series...It would be good to share information/ideas with other competitors involved in the same sort of thing.

Just my 2 cents worth !!!

Cheers

Nice to "see" you Sud. Wellcome to the AlfaBB.

Alfa Boxer (Alfasud, sprint and 33) are usual in europe but not in the USA, where are the most of the people here.

This board could be a form to teach how are these cars and, for those that have one, to share information.

example:

Giulietta (1955-64)
Sprint, Berlina, Spider, Veloce. & TI.

How about

Boxer Engined ALFAs (DATE???)
ALFASUD,SPRINTS and 33's.

I am a 105 man and don't know the dates for the boxers nor any detail on models other than what I have written above. I am sure some one else will have greater detail than I , but other than confirming dates that would work as a title as far as I can see.

Phil,

I just added the new forum.

If anyone can help with the production dates I'd appreciate it.

from what i've been able to dredge up over the last 10 or so minutes, the 'sud was produced between 1971 - 1983, sprint between 1975 -1983 and the "33" between 1983 - 1986 (S1), 1986-1989 (S2), 1989-1995(S3)
There's probably a year or 2 difference in these dates, they're from AR australia, so i'm not too sure how long they lasted in other countries. please correct me if i'm wrong. Anyway, hope this helps.
