AlfaBB in real paper...

Ok.. Ive been thinking, in the alfabb there are tons and tons of amazing pics. Do you think that it would be possible to print a book with various member cars pics. The largest the book the biggest the price of course.

Just an idea...

I don't think you'd ever break even let alone make some handy money for the BB. If you wanted to make it hardback (which you would) and nice glossy paper you're looking at a very very high unit price. Even if every single currently registered alfabb.com member bought one it would still be hideously expensive. Remember most hardback nice piccie books are produced in the 10s of 1000s not the couple of hundreds.

Dont get me wrong, lovely idea but not faesible, unless of course someone owns a printing and book binding company and can give us awesome mates rates.

With all the knowledge here would make fantastic tech how to manuals in a sensible order. Try low cost black & White for starters? My two cents worth.
Jason P/s even a down load version. Save paper costs..........

I've had the thought many times. I really like the idea and we certianly have a good amount of nice looking cars here on the BB. There are certianly quite a bit of online book manufactures who can quote us. Maybee we should look at some production costs to see if something like this is even doable.

I know of Autobooks in Burbank, Ca. Are there other brick and mortar book sellers around the country speciallising in automotive titles? If the Alfa BB distributed the book themselves and there were enough Auto specialty book stores nationwide who would take some to sell, it might be feasable. There would still be the problem of printing costs to consider. Another thought to consider, I was looking through this forum for it, and found one reference, but no response, how about a yearly calendar featuring shots of member's Alfas?

For another look, check out www.brickboard.com. This is a Volvo site just like ours. They have a page set up for standard questions on the 740 line of cars. When I had my wagon it was very helpful. Maybe something like this only downloadable. See - 700/900 Series FAQ http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/

its not so far fetched. Our school has a newspaper that cost almost nothing to make. Assuming there was somone with the skills, time and permission to create a newsletter type paper, i think it brought to reality fairly easy.

you should see the stuff they put in our paper.

here is an ideaphoto book I'm not sure how the BB would benefit but it would produce a book if someone took the time to gather the photos and put it together.

i was just saying as a place to start, a paper similar to that of a high school times would not be sooo bad. There is plenty of room for improvement.
