No, more like discussion of Alfa special tools, what tools you need in your garage/workshop, most useful tools, most useless tools, best tools, worst tools, favorite tools, what tools to keep in your trunk for emergencies or on a long trip, different brands, who makes the best what and why, where to buy, techniques & tips, workbenches, cool tools, tool safety, tool bargains, tool maintenance, tool repair, tool envy, tool porn, tool zen, tool dreams, tool nightmares, tool the band, tool successes, tool disasters, tool storage, Sears, Snap-On & Harbor Freight, MacGyver stories about how you made it home with chewing gum & dental floss, modifying tools, tool repurposing, tools to make tools, tools you can make yourself, hand tools, power tools, impact wrenches, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, presses, drill presses, bench grinders, angle grinders, pullers, jacks, lifts, anything to do with compressors, air-brushes, welding, riveting or plasma cutters. Nuts, bolts, washers, screws, Where to find that really weird fastener, different types of fastener threads and heads, cotter pins, snap rings, circlips, e-clips, u-clips, j-clips, different types of lubricants, anti-seize, thread locker, tap & die, philips vs posidrive, why does a security torx look like the Jewish star of David? Why does a 5mm nut take a 10-32 bolt but not vice versa?, Maybe also tools for sale/trade/rent/loan. Forum title: "Tools of the Trade"

Sorry I guess I got a little carried away...

Can't do anything without the right tools. I think it is a great idea.

I have been looking for a shrinking tool for a long time. I have seen them but not sure who makes them or where to buy. They are used in body repairs to make the shape around wheel arches, the channel on trunk lids, etc.

Can anyone help?

Regards,

Ean

Ean:
Try this link, then browse the rest of Eastwood's metal forming tools, I'll bet they have what you need

Shrinking Tool

Wil,

I had a look at the Eastwood catalog and that is exactly what I want. These are really handy tools. Lots of other good things there too. Thanks for the tip,

Regards,

Ean

Yup, tool forum would be excellent! Can the admins make it happen?

Welding, panel beating, mechanical, and everything else in between...I'm all for it!

great idea i like it, man with the right tools any job is easy. it took me a half hour to put the right socket, drive size, extension to torque the head bolts on my car a few weeks ago. if there was a place on this board to give tips like that, i am all over it. saving even 30 min is great
