Spider forum split

I really enjoy the BB! Would suggest that the forum split for Spiders (now 1966 up) be reassigned. A forum for Bosch S3 and S4 spiders would be something to consider. As it stands now the forum focus is very broad.

that does sound like a good idea Elio...

but the thing you have to keep in mind is that spiders in general are very similar...as the shape has barely changed since the first series was released, many other things have also barely changed...its true that as the years progressed they became more advanced, but alot of things still havent changed since the first series was released...

in having a mixed forum, people with an s2 spider could get feedback from people with an s3 or s4 spider that have had the same problem...

what do y'all think would be better? Im kinda impartial, as i look at all of the forums just for fun anyway

Joe

There was a thread only about a month or two ago regarding splitting the forum (albeit to split out the roundtails). The majority seemed to favor leaving well enough alone because even the earliest and latest Spiders have a lot in common.

I for one would be lost if people like JohnM and Roadtrip didn't read parts of the Spider forum because it didn't relate to a vehicle they have. Honestly, I need all the help I can get on my '86 Grad.

There was a motion in the past to split the Duetto's. We decided not to split for the reasons mentioned above. The cars are so similar from 1966-1994, that it'd be best to leave it a lot. If we were to split it, we'd have the same threads going on in both forums since the cars pretty much share the same problems from the 60's through the 90's. You'd think Alfa would have tried to fix that!
