What kind of car?
It doesn't matter where you live. PAYPAL allows you to use a credit card for payment.

Gifford the Alfa parts CD is not same thing as Cardisc CD which has shop manuals, owners manuals and tech bulletins.

Parts CD - Alfa Romeo 155 16V Twin Spark
Hallo All
I tried again on paypal and was refused. They do not accept Mastercard credit cards issued from South Africa. This is very frustrating for me. I still need the Alfa Romeo 155 parts CD for the 2.0lt 16 valve Twin Spark.
Thanks for all your reply's.

G'Day Marius,
Try P2P file sharing programs such as bittorrent, edonkey/emule and search for "compact 98 alfa".

Just send some cash in the mail!. I buy parts from sellers in Germany via ebay(I am in USA) and many don't have paypal account. I just exchange some EURO at local currency exchange shop and airmail them. Never lost the money. Very safe if you ask me.

You were luckier than me. I sent cash to Italy and it was lost even when sent in a registered letter.

Alfa Romeo 155 Parts CD
To all who responded to this thread thanks. I am still looking for a parts CD specifically for the 155. I need to go through and see what is available so I can order some parts. Pitty this is not online. Then my alfa would have been 100%.
Thanks to all
Regards
Marius

The 155 is listed on Alfa Parts CD with other models like 164 and 166. They are usually on ebay UK. Also there is an interactive DVD ePer listed sometimes. It is web based so sort of online version.
Surely ebay and paypal have an option/way for you to buy auction items.

Ebay
Thanks Steve for replying. Yes if only I could buy on ebay I would have. You see South Africa cannot take part in Paypal. That is why I started this thread.

G'Day Marius,
As I said earlier, both Compact 98 and ePer are available through P2P.
Both have all Fiat built Alfa's 33, 75, 164 and later.
I use eMule,
for compact 98 search for "Alfa Romeo Epc Compact 98 v8.0 Ed 48 By Ripe.zip", it's 235.74Mb
for ePer search for "ETK Eper DVD Alfa Fiat Lancia 2005_04 Ed18 Nr 60334679 Nero Nrg by Butze.zip", it's 1.22Gb.
Both unzip to images which can be burnt to CD (Compact 98) or DVD (ePer).
Compact 98 is a stand alone program which needs the CD inserted, ePer is browser based (Inertnet Explorer) which can be fully installed to hard disk.
When running Compact 98 I get a few messages saying "drive not found" but clicking continue on each it runs fine.

Alfa Romeo 155 Parts CD
Thanks again for your post. I tried to go to edonkey and emule. Back to square 1. Paypal and credit card payments. Sorry you are not authenticated and South Africa is not part of paypal. I will never get a CD!
Oh well....
Regards

This is one of the sickest threads I've read on AlfaBB. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with AlfaBB. If this thread belongs anywhere, it would be in the WTB forum.
Has anybody seen a picture of the car? Any Alfa buddies? Any hint about problems that is not related to money or PayPal or credit cards?
5 posts and they're almost exclusively about money.
I may be wrong but something here smells really bad.
What I have the hardest time with in this thread is the underlying notion of whining: If there's no PayPal or creditcards in SA, how does he get parts?
Maybe I'm paranoid, but the thread sounds a lot like the one of those Africans who need to place 20 Million dollars or so and would need your bank account number to do so.
Be careful guys: Predators often disguise themselves as victims.
