Aftermarket Switch?

While looking at ways to remove the knee bolster under the steering wheel to check for corrosion for the high beam issue and to replace instrument lights, I removed the panel on the driver's side of the center console and discovered the switch pictured below (or attached).

There is a non-working, as far as I know, Alpine alarm system and also a set Alpine speakers on the cargo shelf. Can anyone confirm that this is an alarm switch?

It does look like the alarm's by-pass/reset switch, but the only way to confirm that is to follow the wiring...

Best regards,
