Another Noob Has Joined - Needs a New Soft Top!

Hello, all. I found a '74 Spyder and fell in love! Any leads on replacement soft tops is most appreciated - mine is completely shot. I'll post pics when I pick her up next week.

Thanks everyone!

A search here will find plenty of info/opinions. Make sure you also search 'Caribou Tops' before buying.

Here's a useful thread: Convertible Top Installation Project

Couple of top sellers on ebay constantly. But before you buy a top, check out previous experiences with that seller's tops on this BB. Either look up previous posts or palce your own new post.

I just installed mine last week that I bought from www.topsonline.com. It took a month to arrive which was irritating, but was a great canvas top at a great price. If you want to install it yourself, plan on it taking a while (it took me a week, but I also only got to it an hour or two a day) and ensure you read/print out this post done by a member "gadwhite" which I did. The link is: Convertible Top Installation Project. It takes a while, but is possible.

That does sound very reasonable. My mechanic-in-waiting (haven't picked my baby up yet) is recommending his upholsterer as he claims the fit will be better. Don't have pricing yet but sounds expensive. Thanks for the Hartz tip!
