That would be hip.

OK, back to it:

When you first turn the key from off to run, do you hear the fuel pump(s) buzz/hum for half a second or so? (it'll be just a quick 'bzzzt', so you may have to turn the key off and on a few times to catch it)

Check that while you're checking for fire I guess.

Do you have a multimeter?

If so, check the battery voltage, then check it at the battery terminals while cranking. If it drops below 10.5 volts, you're not going to get it to go anyway. (this is going on the off chance that mabe your alternator or regulator decided to take a crap during the trip home. Regardless, you need to check the voltage anyway, otherwise you can crank for days and still not get it to fire if the volts are at or below that 10.5V threashold)

Note that the 'black' & the 'grey' connections are not at the bellhousing the way that sketch makes it appear. If you follow the sensor's cable up to where they plug into the harness, you'll find a black & a grey connector. The sensors themselves are identical but they must be connected to the harness correctly. The harness connectors are in the vicinity of the windscreen washer reservoir.
