83 factory alarm?

So far I've been able to get this poor spider back to running and driving from an almost abandoned state of disrepair, thanks to bb crowd and some natural ability....lol... I just got a few more things to figure out...there's an alarm lock back by the gas lid with no wires going to it and some miscellaneous wires under dash that have been chopped off that kinda look like factory...there's also 2 pin switches in the door jambs and a pile in the trunk jamb (also look factory)... there are a few more that I can tell were old aftermarket stereo wiring...(inconsequential) I have no manuals, owners or otherwise... So who can tell me the offerings on factory alarms? how about wire colors on said alarms? anyone? thanks, cliff

Two on the drivers side, one on the passenger?

If so, normal stock.

On the drivers side, one is the ground for the curtesy lights, the other for a 'hey you left your keys in the ignition dummy' warning buzzer.

On the passenger it's for the curtesy lights

Three bunched together on the left side of the back lip.

Spring loaded pins coming from the trunk lid that contact the brass plates.

Those would be for each of the licence plate lamps up under the spoiler. (yes, they each get thier own contact for some reason or another)

Oh, and before you get hair pulling mad not knowing due to lack of manual:

The underhood, in~trunk and glovebox lights will not work unless at least the parking lights are turned on.

Thanks Darren, so the alarm is aftermarket? And now I need a schematic for the under dash wiring to figure out what these chopped off wires went to, they come over the steering column down behind the fuse box two yellows going to one connector that becomes a single red then chopped off the other is a white/black connected to a black then cut off...they all seem to be together...ahhpp! But it's time to cut the friggen 1 1/2 acres of grass again...so I can comtemplate it for the next 4-5 hours...thanks, cliff

Alarms were definitely aftermarket. For a wiring diagram see the sticky "Available Wiring Diagrams", and contact BB member papajam...

Best regards,
