S4 Overheating & Fans Not Working

My 1991 Spider Veloce Automatic overheated today. When I opened the hood I could see some moisture around the top of the air intake close to the fuel injection. I noticed the electric fans never came on. The car was in the shop recently and they worked on the A/C system but we had to abandon the A/C due to a bad compressor. Now it sounds like there might be a leak around the thermostat housing or just under it somewhere and like I said the electric fans are no longer working. It is over 100 degrees F here and I have no idea what might be the issue. Should I just take it back to the shop that worked on it or try a different shop? I got the car home since it overheated only a few houses down the street. Could this be due to low water and no fans? I can't find a leak anywhere. I can hear what sounds like air pressure from under the thermostat housing but can't find any water leaking.

its an issue with the relay, and its embedded fuse, on your fusebox.

when you drop the fusebox, the relay for the fans is second from the left, at the top. its grey or white and has an embedded 30amp fuse in it. pull out the fuse and see how it looks. if its melted, you can probably run temporarily with a new fuse, but order a new relay ASAP from Vicks you need the B047 relay. change the fuse regardless and carry around a grip of 30amp fuses for when they finally go.

Thanks for the advice, I pulled the relays out of my parts car and replaced the old one in my car and the fans worked again. I did find a broken wire to the fans under the hood and had to repair that as well but the fans didn't begin to work until I replaced the relay. I'm still running too hot I think. The gauge is only one notch below the red mark or 250 on the gauge. Could be that I need to replace the thermostat but I'll check the water level first as soon as I have some time. Thanks again for the advice, you were dead on.
