Stats

For those who care, here are the stats for responses so far, and the N is large enough to be statistically meaningful at the .01 level of confidence.
.
N = 45
Sum = 1945 (Lot of experience here)
Range = 20 - 71
Mean = 43.2
Median = 42
Mode = 34

Distribution is not at all equal: several ages (34, 41, 51, 57) have 3 or 4 representatives, while many others have none.

I am submitting these findings to the Journal of Applied Psychology under the title "A Heuristic-Driven Anthropomorphic Preliminary Inquiry into the Socio-psychological Preferences of Masochistic Automobile Owners"

Thanks to you all.

Growing old is mandatory - growing up is optional.

Age

Although I am almost 45, I purchased my first alfa (Giulietta, 1957 spider) at the tender age of 17. I still have it, although it is soon to be in bare metal.

I, like many others, was bitten at a young age. It is only recently that I have been able to indulge my addiction.

Currently Owned:
1957 Giulietta Spider (Maria - Fabrication in progress)
1988 Quadrifoglio (Tony)
1987 BMW 653CSI (Gustav)

Working on:
1959 Giulietta Spider - Restoration
1967 Fiat Dino Coupe - Restoration
1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S - Done
1987 Porsche 944S - Done

AlfaKidGtv6,

Check post #4..... Now, if you were to give your car to _me_, then you'd be tied with Simon.

OK. Now (see avatar) we have an addition. And now I'd have to say:

How many Alfas do you now have - 5
How many times have you purchased an Alfa (including re-purchases for the inconstant) - 5

And we've had an attempt by one of my kids at driving one of them into _something_ that isn't the ground. This attempt, however, was unsuccessful. The 1993 164L will rise again, due in part to many of you alfabb participants.
