Original backup lights?

My barn find 69 spider has 2 round backup lights. I thought these cars had 1 rectangle light in the back. Is this correct? This car has the spica fuel injection and euro tail lights and I found in the trunk 2 side repeater lights in a box and the sides of the car have none. Not even a hole to stick these lights into. I love trying to get into the mind of the PO don't you? This is not a great picture, sorry

You should have left those in the barn. They are not correct for your car. Look on the underside of the passenger bumper. You should see a mount there for the backup light.

Don't be too hard on the PO. There's a lot of stuff you can get for these cars now that wasn't available 10 yrs ago. Still, I'm not sure if anybody is making the all-red U.S. tail light lenses. Although not very pretty, the backup lights are bound to work better than the original pathetically inadaquate single backup light. Again, the PO may not have been able to find an original replacement. You can make it right, whatever that is for you. Have fun! Where in MD are you? Hope to see your car around sometime.
