And the answer is ........

Joe:
I'm not certain of the name, but I believe it is the small rubber stop/clip that goes on the bottom of the window glass to keep it from making a hard glass on steel contact when the window travels to the bottom of the track.

Wow Ray, you hit another one...LOL!! Thanks!I believe your diagnosis is correct. I guess this rubber must /should fit v snugly on the glass, or it will fall off v easily. Maybe I should add a dab of glue to it.

Glue will do it.

A little rubber cement will do the trick, while you are in there make sure you lube the cable a little.

Got it, Ray. Yup, lubed with heavy 30w oil....now for the rubber cement.......
