Interesting S2 find

A shout out to all S2 owners. I was working a fuel problem this weekend and was tracing the fuel pump wires back to the fuse box. The fuel pump wire joins a wire harness coming from the trunk around the left rear of the drivers seat. In order to trace it further I needed to remove the bracket for the seat belt positioned at about the same spot. Its the black metal piece that guides the seat belt.

It turns out that this bracket was tightened down on the wire harness so hard that it wore through one of the wires controlling the turn signals. My turn signals had been very slow. Blink.................blink...........etc.

I corrected the wire short and now it is blink..blink..bink.

So I got lucky and found a short looking for another problem. Hope the info helps.
