Spider '79 for sale - first $5000 takes it
75k miles - on my trips to Columbus I was getting good mpg, depending on how fast I was going.
Work done - new tires, brakes, calipers, all water and gas hoses replaced, ignition parts, coil, master cylinder, basic tune-up parts, clutch adjustments, suspension beefed-up, fuel pump, misc' other.
I had a new water pump put in, with new fan and shroud. Also engine mounts replaced, :re for the pump and fan/shroud as you might have guessed.
I think it's a Kenwood deck - just tape.
The frame is in perfect shape. The brakes were replaced about a year and a half ago. I had an alfa romeo mechanic look it over when I was in Columbus awhile back - he did the brake job and freed up calipers and did a good job with it.
The exhaust is fairly new.
Tires are brand new as of a year ago - new Michelens.
I've probably put 6500 miles on the car since I got it - just bopping around the area in the summer and like I said driving between PA and Columbus, OH about 8-10 times..
Reason I'm selling - I've had my fun with it, don't need the attention that this car commands, and it's time for someone else to have some fun w/ this sweet ride. Please reply to this post with interest and contact information and I'll contact you.

Do you have any pix that are newer than 3 years old and taken from closer than 20 feet that actually show anything at all besides the fact that it has a luggage rack on the trunk lid?

Last place to put your ad is here- everyone has one, they'll nit-pick every detail of your car and don't want to pay because theirs is better, more valuable, etc.
Try Hemmings, Craiglist, local newspaper. Might try big city newspaper if your'e close to one.
My experience....

Looks like a nice car but everybody knows that the red ones are faster.

This is a beautiful car. You certainly are not insane asking a mere 5K for her... BUT for some reason the Alfas are not getting the resale value that other 70's or 80's vintage cars are experiencing. I truly believe that the American Muscle cars of the 70's that are fetching 50 to 100K are over priced, and our lovely Alfa are going dirt cheap. Maybe you should keep her until I convince the other 5.7 billion people on the planet!!! Anyway.... your car is a superb example of a real nice drivable Spider. Wish I had an extra 5K... It would be in my garage.
Good luck on your sale.

Right....muscle cars will go the way of real estate, or dot coms of Y2K period, Cabbage Patch dolls, etc.
Alfas are waaaaaaay undervalued.
