Pininfarina emblem question
The rectangular enamel part of one of my "f" logo emblems fell off the base metal (or I hope it fell off; I'd hate to think larcenous fingers pried it loose). So now I'm looking to replace the emblem. Looking at emblems that have been on eBay, I see two very similar but different styles, specifically in the crown section. Both have the attached crown, but one style has red enamel in the crown and more round loops. The other style has no red enamel in the crown and pointier loops. The pointier-loop/no-red style is what's on my car now, but I have no idea if it's original. Can anyone tell me what's correct for a '71 Spider? (Does anyone have an extra?) I've also seen some with a filigree running through the "f"; I assume that's completely wrong.
Maybe I'm being a little too anal about this; it's not something that keeps the car from starting, running, and stopping, but it's nice to have the logo and have it match on both sides.
Thanks!
