Public Service - Alfa Spider @ Sacramento Pick & Pull

Hello Alfisiti:

I was at the P&P (The Foreign Car one, not the regular one) in Rancho Cordova near Sacramento this weekend and they had a complete - supposedly running - Spider sitting up front. Selling as a complete car with an asking price of $1850.

I am not an Alfa person and am not sure of the year, but it was of the square tail type with rubber bumpers. Color silver.

I belong to a few other forums and thought someone here might want to know.

Unfortunately, P&P does not have a phone that anyone answers, and I don't live close enough to go back anytime soon.

Ron

Thank you Ron. That's a rubber bumpered son of a gun, whose name is Frank. The guys here on the BB have been on the look out for that silver coated galoot. He escaped one bright Sunday morning during a ALFA round up between Morro Bay and Cambria. His owner pulled over to catch the view near Cayucos and the varmint took off. But that's the way it is with the ALFA spiders, it's in their nature to run wild. Not like the GTV's that tend to be more loyal to their masters. As for that wayward Frank, we'll send a posse up thata ways to wrangle him back into the fold. Much obliged for the shout out.

Arden:

I lost my secret decoder ring and most of that went over my head. An Italian car named FRANK? But I did get the "thanks" part to which I'll say "You're Welcome".

If you're saying there was a silver Spider stolen in CA and you think this is it then here is a business across the street from P&P that actually answers their phone: Volvo & Saab Auto Dismantlers - New and used car parts They might agree to walk over and tell the management to contact someone about this.

Ciao.

Ron

Ron, I realize that typing while off my medication can be a hazard at times. I was just kidding, no harm intended. ...and yes it did occur to me later on that I should have name him Franco.

No problem - I figured pharmaceuticals might have been involved one way or another

So now that my work is done here I'm going to fade back to the Porsche forums before I develop some lasting relationships and end up buying an Alfa. Hmmm, if only I knew where I could get one for not much money...........

Well I got it, and chuckled. But since I'm nuts anyway I'm afraid that doesn't say much for your sanity either.

Come on Ron, stay awhile. Our hearts are in the right place even if our engines may not be. Sell the Porsche and buy an ALFA for every day of the week. One caveat though, the insanity is contagious. Tom and I are just the vanguard of a great band of ALFA Lunatics.
