Gague bulb source?

First of all, thanks again for the help on the cooling system. I removed the tstat and noticed it was really stuck in there. I finally popped it out, made sure it had the block off plate and reinstalled it. Then, I drove it for 25 minutes today (15 miles on the freeway at speeds of 60-75). Well, I am happy to report it never went above 185 on a 60 degree day. I believe if it had a problem, it would have gone over 200. I am thinking a bit of RTV may have gotten into it and affected the operation of the tstat.

Anyhow, on to another question. Is there a source for gague bulbs for a 79 Spider? I removed the water temp gague bulb and do not know where to get a replacement.

THanks,
Quinn

Papajam,

Thank you! One problem, I have the replacement part Osram #194 (glass base, etc) on my 2L Spider (your final pic referring to alfa_chan's post). However, I could not find it on Osram's site. Do you know if it is still available?

Yep. That's it. A trade size #194 bulb should be available at any corner autoparts store.

You can also find the bulbs at NAPA. They typically stock them, but may have to order from their main store in your area.
