1989 Spider Veloce Pulling Wngine and tranny

I'm pulling the engine and tranny out of my parts car, but i need some help on how to do it. I've already taken out everything all that is left is to pull it, so if anyone has any ways how to do it and what tool i might need.

Thanks
Joe

I like to get the rear of the car raised up on jackstands. That reduces the angle you'll need to use to raise the engine/gearbox unit up out of the car.

IIRC, I moved the 'lifting strap' from the middle of the engine to one position forwards. That helps when you need to angle the assembly to maneuver it in/out.

I also removed the center tie rod (since it was going to get a front end alignment anyway). If you don't want to upset the alignment you can unbolt the idler unit from the right side and lower the center tie rod that way. You need to do that to get enough room to move the engine forwards until the bellhousing will clear the firewall and then you can start raising it up.
